I really wanted to moderate the Living With Invisible Disabilities panel. I've got forty-seven years experience living with invisible disabilities, physical (deaf in one ear + no balance mechanism + small and poorly formed ENT tube system) and mental (social anxiety), and though I don't want to talk about any of that in front of an audience (see: social anxiety) I would be awesome at asking pertinent questions of people who did want to talk. Awesome.

I didn't get that one. I got three assignments from the freelance moderator pool.

If the Academy Awards and Emmys had a Tiptree Award ...
If we gave the Tiptree Award to movies, or to television series, who would win the award and why? Let's engage in a lively debate.

Okay, I'm going to be floundering here, but I've got Penny Hill and Joanna Lowenstein on my side, so I shall not fear.

Self-Publishing: Should You? Could You?
A variety of websites and services make publishing your own e-books and paper books simpler and less expensive than ever. What are some of the best? What are some to avoid? What are the benefits and drawbacks of becoming an indie writer? What tips do you have to help other indie writers self-publish successfully?

Another topic I know nothing about. But I have questions. I don't know any of the panelists. But there are four of them. It'll be okay. It'll probably be okay.

Animated Revolutions
She-Ra, Pirates of Dark Water, and Gargoyles all feature issues of revolution, resistance to the state/corporation, and environmentalism in the context of the show. Are we watching creative fantasies that we'll never realize or do the fantastical elements somehow make these utopian ideals seem achievable?

Aieee. Aieee. Three TV shows I've never seen. Two panelists I've never met. Aieee.
