We're in a cold spell. A lot of trees are budding out, due to the last several weeks of warm temperatures.
Dutch, my 1/3 scale Bernese Mountain Dog, loves sitting outside in the cold. Tilda does not. She is happy running around, but while Dutch can sit out there on squirrel patrol for hours, Tilda wants to come in. And then she wants to go out, because Dutch is out there without Tilda. And then she wants to come in, because it is cold.
Inside, Tilda likes to tuck herself behind me in the big comfy chair. Here is the position she gets into:

This is Tilda, upside down, squeezed between my butt and the back of the chair. Her gums are very pink because she is hot, but she likes it like that.

After I got out of the chair she occupied my spot, without waking up.

Date: 2025-01-05 04:20 am (UTC)The other day one of the cats escaped out the front door while I was reaching for the mailbox (which is next to the door). I shut the screen door. Ten seconds later, she realized how cold it was and turned around to be let back in. (I told her, but did she listen? No.)
Cuddly creatures are so adorable. And cosy.

Our Bella likewise embraces her caterpillar nature as she snuggles between the couch and the cooler outer wall.
Tilda has such pearly teeth!
