I finally got to see Hamilton. My friend won the ticket lottery, and her partner didn't want to go on a school night so she asked me. We were in the third row.

I've loved the songs for a long time, but seeing the real thing is amazing. So many talented people working together, working so hard, and so precisely, to make this beautiful, intricate design happen!

My friend asked someone in the row behind us to take our picture. She took her mask off for the photo so I did too, although I probably would have chosen not to if I had thought about it beforehand. Peer pressure is real! I got the new vaccine in September and I used my antiviral mouthwash before I went and it was only for a moment.

Oh, wow, yay! Getting to see it on Broadway was an absolute highlight for me and I'm glad you got to see it! I agree, I already had most of the songs memorized and yet it was incredible.

I love that the lottery is still going and the seats are so good. I've seen it in London several times and loved it, it's very rewarding to see it in person.

I think the Buell put all the lottery tickets right up front. The people next to us also had lottery tickets, and in the row in front there were two children, both under ten. Their mom came in with them and got them settled, then went to her own seat in one of the balconies along the side. I suppose she could have bought expensive tickets for her kids and a cheap one for herself, but it seems more likely she won two tickets in the lottery, and then bought whatever was still available for herself. What a mom! What a musical!
