Home from Wiscon, sad and so so tired.

I find I was expecting Mungo to mow the front lawn while I was gone. Which is not fair, since I didn't _say_ "Mow the front lawn while I'm gone." I said "How much would I have to pay you to mow my lawn?" and he said "You wouldn't have to pay me, just ask me to do it when I'm here and I'm bored," and I said "Thank you, I would be so glad if you did when school's over, because it needs it badly and five minutes with that lawnmower leaves me weeping with pain." Also my husband said he'd take the lawnmower back to his house after Mungo mowed my lawn. So, I was surprised to come home to grass knee-high. Even more surprised not to come home to a ticket from the city. They must take the holiday weekend off too.

Also my house reeks. Also I still have a burst hot water pipe, and who knows how many leaks ready to spring as soon as I get that fixed.

Maybe I should become a plumber?

My lilac is still blooming. My dogs are very happy I'm home. I had many happy moments and several painfully good learning experiences at Wiscon. Now I'm going to get a good night's sleep in my own own bed.

Oh, I didn't realize he was that young. Yeah, being fourteen is actually a pretty good explanation. :)
