14.5 inches of snow

and neither of my dogs can cope. Newt isn't 14.5 inches high, and he's so poorly insulated he feels cold inside the house at 63 degrees F with no wind chill. While he's wearing a coat. Basically, he is a cat that I'm not allergic to.
But Dutch! Dutch was built for this. She has big feet, thick fur, short, thick-skinned ears; she looks like a miniature Bernese Mountain Dog. But she's just not mentally equipped for this. She doesn't want to pee in the area that I shoveled out; too close to the house, maybe? But outside of it, she flails helplessly, then jumps back into the cleared spot and races up the steps to the back door. She has spent most of the day in her dog crate.
