My mother had flipflops like that. It was odd that she did, because my parents didn't approve of the thong kind for kids - we all had the slide kind (like soccer players wear with socks). And my little sister had matching slide flipflops in toddler size.

To the best of my knowledge, they never left Ontario and the pair didn't get split up.
