Still Becoming, by Michelle Obama.
Also An Unkindness of Ghosts, by Rivers Solomon, for SF book group tomorrow.

• What did you recently finish reading?

Cultured: How ancient foods can feed our microbiome, by Katherine Harmon Courage, and now I am looking for Jerusalem artichokes tubers to plant. This book agrees with my sister about the importance of the microbiome, but has completely different recommendations; Courage is for fiber and fermentation and my sister is basically paleo.

• What do you think you’ll read next?

The Color Purple, by Alice Walker, for classics book group next week.

• What are you watching?

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
The House of Tomorrow.

Sorry about the blizzard but there's something very compelling about the first daffodils of spring.

...those bricks must have made a slightly Southern microclimate.

We managed to just avoid the blizzard but our buds got frozen.

I'm hearing such good things about Becoming: can I read it while maintaining my news fast?

Yay daffs!

We got a bit of snow, which stuck to roofs and on top of grass. Thursday morning's rain and hail washed the last of it away.

I've been reading for library deadlines: three books I'll have to get again later.
