Hail! Very loud hail. Little dog with heart disease does not approve.

kalettes, tomatoes, basil, garlic, hail

Talking to an intern at my Republican senator's D.C. office this morning, I learned that they really really do not like it when you say that Trump's policy is to hold the immigrant children hostage. Using that language was the only thing that pushed him out of his smooth comfort zone of "I'll be happy to let the senator know how you feel."
I got a little bit of wiggle on another lever, when I pointed out that Senator Gardner was willing to use his power and threaten to hold up judicial nominations in order to protect marijuana. Why not to protect children? The intern said that Gardner had worked with Senator Feinstein on marijuana issues, and was working behind the scenes and across the aisle to create a bipartisan bill to solve all immigration issues and bring the Jubilee. Which brought me back to, "So he's not going to do anything to solve the problem of children being taken from their parents and put into internment camps, until this unwritten immigration bill solves all the problems at once? He's happy to let the Trump administration hold those children hostage until then?"

Another thing I learned today is that miller moths are very filling. The immature screech owls are not passing mouse school because there are so many miller moths to eat instead. I say, if they're flying well enough to maintain their weight on miller moths, they're flying well enough to be released, but. We Have A Protocol.

I am avidly enthusiastic about your screech owls. We need more things that eat miller moths.

Grizzly bears eat millers! According to CSU extension office they can be an important source of food for grizzly bears around Yellowstone.

Brilliant telephoning.

And the story of the miller moth diet is astonishing.
