This is my Garden in a Box: 30 drought-tolerant plants for shade. I have a big catalpa in my front yard, so when my utility company offered a rebate on a group of plants chosen for these conditions, I lunged for it.

Wow, that's awesome! Too bad I'm too high-elevation for those gardens, because I have a few places where I could use something like that. (Also we are moving this fall, so I guess I don't feel like I want to do more here...)

Oh boy, new plants are always fun! I don't recognize what the others are, but I love columbines!
