Sending sympathy re: hard drive and further surgery recommendation! And having had surgery, and having to deal with doctors, and all of that.

I like your questions, both the one you think you'll be able to ask, and the rest of them. If you decide to consent to further surgery, I wonder if it would be possible to do under a local anesthetic.
