This issue divides red America from blue America like no other.

I challenge the whole idea that "red America" and "blue America" are opposing teams. They only look like it if you focus in tightly on a controversial issue...but they look like it if you focus in tightly on ANY point where there is current political controversy. Universal health care. Gun control. Reproductive choice. Racial profiling. Rights of the accused. Climate change.
