Swamplandia!, by Karen Russell. For book group. I'm wondering how much of the quirky is for quirky's sake.
• What did you recently finish reading?
Where'd You Go, Bernadette, by Maria Semple. Before that was Lifelode, by Jo Walton, which was a delight. About halfway through I thought oh, I get it, (rot13) guvf vf nyy n pbzchgre fvzhyngvba! Orpnhfr fbzr nernf unir zber cebprffrf cre frpbaq guna bguref. Naq fbzr vaqvivqhnyf pna zretr gb znxr zber cbjreshy vaqvivqhnyf. It isn't though, at least not so as you could tell from inside the book.

I have Conservation of Shadows, by Yoon Ha Lee.
