Each of my pumpkins yielded 10 to 18 cups of roasted pumpkin, so we are eating a lot of pumpkin! I keep coming back to Smitten Kitchen.

Definitely do the sage butter. These take a long time to cook all the way through, so it is one of those pancake dinners where everyone stands around in the kitchen snatching pancakes as they come off the griddle. I like those, as long as the appreciation is verbal and plentiful.


I was going to make pumpkin muffins today but I got my covid booster yesterday and my immune system is Powerful and Angry.

My boss wants to come over to my house to give me a christmas present.

As I told myself during the side-effects of my first jab, this means it's working [but the plural of anecdote is not data]. I hope your immune system stops being angry soon and your boss doesn't make it worse.

I was just rewatching season 3 of GBBO, because it is going to leave Netflix at the end of the month. There was Danny, saying that half her family is American, so she has memories of being fed pumpkin pie as a child, and it was disgusting! So she made a pumpkin pie for Bake Off and put way too much alcohol in it.

Immune system has calmed down to its normal grumpy state. Boss didn't show up!

I'm wild for pumpkin. To mitigate the "are the pancakes done yet?" dance, I came up with a recipe for a pancake as large as your pan -- it's great with pumpkin or other winter squash.
