Local venue had a Story Swap tonight, the first in a very long time. I was the last of seven or eight tellers. It went really well; I'm glad I did it; but there wasn't any cleaning the mic between speakers so... I probably shouldn't have.

As long as you didn't lick the mic, that shouldn't be an issue. Much more worth considering is whether other people were masked, and whether you were: the cloud of breath left by the previous speaker becomes the air you breathe in when it's your turn.

We all wore masks while we were seated, but most of us including me took our masks off to tell a story.
