My daughter is coming home for the semester, since her class and her tutoring are both online, so she can do them as well in Colorado as in Portland.

I was talking to my mom today. "She's a really smart girl," my mom said.
"Yep."
"She gets that from her dad."
"...Wow."
"And her mom! And her grandfather."

Both her grandfathers were really smart. So is her dad. But you know who is smarter than all three of them? My daughter's mother, that's who.

I am very short on tolerance for my mom these days. She listens to Fox News all day, that is her choice, normally I can patiently say no, climate change is real, no, the Democrats will not take away all your money, no, people cannot figure out how to pay for health insurance on their own. But since RBG died I have no margin.
