I went to the library this morning, only to return things to the drop box; curbside hold pickup doesn't start till tomorrow. Most people were not wearing masks. A man who was bicycling up to the library with his kids as I was leaving pulled up his mask and said "Excuse us! Sorry!" as I moved myself and my dog off the sidewalk to leave six feet of space. I also tend to leave my mask down around my neck, and pull it up if I have to be close or talk to people. Must practice: left hand for pressing crosswalk button/opening drop box/picking up dog poop, right hand reserved for adjusting mask.
It was hot enough that my mostly-black, densely-furred dog was done walking well before we got home. We found some shady spots for her to take breaks. Maybe a spray bottle would help?
