I bought my house really cheap because it needed a lot of repair work to be livable, and then... just lived in it. For nine years. Washed my dishes in the bathroom sink, and so on. Now that both kids have graduated from college we had the money to do the remodel. Twelve weeks, they told us! Hahaha!
