If you haven't read Watership Down, I would read that! Possibly not relevant to Wiscon, but then I don't know what's relevant for that.

Also, the Solnit is on my list of books to check out, but I haven't gotten around to it.

Have you read enough-for-you stuff by the GoHs? My favorite Larbalestier is her latest, Razorhurst, which is about the working poor in historic Sydney, with ghosts. Sofia Samatar's second novel is out, so you can buy it at WisCon if you don't get to it before then. And surely you've read things written &/or edited by Nalo Hopkinson, yes?

I think many folks will be talking about Charlie Anders' novel. It's a gas, and short, and it's (in part) fantasy vs SF so relevant to cons.
