hit counts

So this is what big fandoms are like! My podfic of
schemingreader's Avengers fanfic Mostly Dead All Day got 108 hits in one day. Although that might be because the author posted about my podfic in her journal. Hm.
I would have expected small fandoms to have larger comments/hits and kudos/hits ratios. I think I need to make spreadsheets.

Date: 2013-07-07 02:46 am (UTC)Kudos tend to run about 1 kudo to 10 hits, overall, for a story that I'll probably end up liking as well. Usually.
If there seem to be fewer kudos than I'd expect for an author I know I like, and the story's been up for a while, I check for bookmarks. Usually I'll find that there are a lot of bookmarks, which means that there are a lot of repeat visits, so the ratio of kudo/hit gets skewed.
Again, that's just a very shallow, generalized sort of observation, but so far it's served me fairly well when I'm cruising for something new to read.
