Ooh, thank you for recording and posting this. May I ask why you chose this particular sonnet? It intuitively feels really masculine to me.

It's one of my favorites.

It does seem masculine, but so does my libido; in that theory you posted about a couple of weeks ago, I get spontaneous desire.

The description of how it feels to have all that lust and no place to put it still rings true to me, though not as strongly as it did when I was a teenager. The part about feeling sick or maybe sickened after orgasm was true for me only some of the time when I was a teenager, and almost never now. I wonder how much of it was a physiological response, maybe due to a drop in blood sugar, and how much came from being taught that feeling sexual desire was bad, and acting on it was sinful.

That's really interesting, thank you for the detailed answer. Just goes to show that all gender generalizations have exceptions! I do very much like the sonnet, it wasn't one I was familiar with.
