The new mandatory evacuation areas are smaller, but cover areas where lots more people live, including my husband's house in Masonville. Teak and Pitch are staying at Pitch's owner's house. Rosemary is staying with her friend in town. Neal is sleeping on my couch. And Nixie, our daughter who is driving here from Portland right now, planning to spend a few months in her childhood bedroom in Masonville, is going to sleep...?

Maybe, if they let Neal through the roadblocks, he can get a mattress from Masonville. I do have a spare room, I just don't have a bed to put in it.
