That aspen gold is stunning, against the blue Colorado sky, but it always makes me long for real fall colors.

That bright pure yellow is one of the fall colors, but where are all the other yellows, and all the shades of red and orange? Not in Colorado!

It's something about the way the temperature changes from fall to winter, I think. Also Colorado is too dry for many deciduous trees.
