Nixie is flying back to Oregon, looking forward to Paideia and school.

While she was here, she went to the dentist, the same dentist that Neal and I go to, and found out that she grinds her teeth and she should get Invisalign and then a bite guard, oh joy. Nixie said that three of the five people she talked to at the dentist's office commented on how much she looks like me. You know what's nice? She *likes* that.

I was dithering over whether or not to sign up for the due South podfic exchange. amaebi assured me that I had everything I needed, and I remembered that when Nixie was in high school, when she was sick, she would ask me to read her to sleep.

You're an outstanding pofficcer — your pace and tone are so excellent they disappear into the story (which doesn't sound good, but really is).

Vimeo just doesn't work for me. I type in the password and all that's there is the back ground image. No play button. Nothing. Haven't been able to figure this out.

Huh. Do other video players work — Youtube, Hulu, site-based at NPR or NYTimes? Are you using blockers like AdBlock or Noflash?

Pity, there's lots of interesting moving pictures (tho' sadly few captions.)

Yes, I am using blockers, but I have tried turning them all off. Other players usually work, though sometimes I have to turn various add-ons off first.

For vids, there's usually more watching options after the reveals, and one of them usually works for me. But the non-embedded vimeo version works now! Thank you!
