dog-shaming song
Jan. 24th, 2020 06:12 pmThey say there's good dogs
How do you tell them from the bad?
Maybe it's only in the fact
Good dog's the one that's in your past.
Not my dog this time! I was in my back yard when a woman across the alley was trying to get out of her back yard with her two tiny children on Big Wheels, and her giant Husky slipped through the gate and ran off.
I ran into the house and called to Mungo, "Get some treats! Help me catch a dog!" Newt and Dutch had run into the house with me, so Mungo was understandably confused. "Neighbor's dog!" I said, as I got a leash and went out the front door. "In the alley!"
The alleys are still mostly ice, so I was not going fast. I met some women who had been walking their dogs, and found a different stray dog with no tags, and were trying to figure out what to do with her! Mungo caught Barty, my neighbor's Husky. (I didn't catch the woman's name.)
I think that property is a rental, and I don't think they've been there long. There's a low place in the fence between their yard and their next-door neighbor's unfenced yard. I think Barty is going to be escaping a lot.
