In the apocryphal Testament of Job, his wife gets a more prominent and sympathetic role. And a name, even.

I finally got a chance to listen to this, and it was wonderful! I really didn't notice the time going by - I got pulled in that far. I am terribly jealous of your storytelling skill - when I tell bible stories I tend to just flail and say "no, seriously, look it up" a lot.
