rhubarb time

My rhubarb has decided that this is a year for flowering:

Oooh, I miss having rhubarb in the garden. It doesn't grow here and I refuse to pay gourmet prices for rhubard at the supermarket!

Can one eat rhubarb that's flowered?

(I just roasted some rhubarb with a bit of sugar and lots of GINGER and my it was tasty.)

Yes, fortunately, the flowering does not spoil the edible part. I think it is not very effective at making seeds. But maybe the pollinators like it.

Very Pretty! I have always wanted to try rhubarb but it doesn't grow very well here. Hopefully one day!
