abnormal endometrium

So, I have lots of fibroids, and also an abnormal endometrium. And an appointment for an endometrial biopsy. Since the ultrasound tech can only talk to the radiologist, and the radiologist can only talk to my doctor, all I know is that the endometrium is abnormally thick; if there are other abnormalities, that info did not filter through to me.

I wish you the very best of luck with all of that as a fellow traveler in hysterical problems.

I *hate* not having full info. In many places, by the way, your medical record legally belongs to YOU, not to the doc or the practice or the hospital, and you can make them give it to you and read it yourself. Some practices make this easy (I used to have a set of midwives who had an open-records policy, so every time you came in they just handed you your entire record and you could read it in the waiting room), and some make you jump through hoops (my current women's health providers are attached to a hospital and the form you have to fill out is ANNOYING AS HECK). Worth looking into, if people are giving you incomplete info, because damn.

Hugs and best of luck. I hope you get more information soon and that things are easily resolved.

Man, that would be torture for me. :(

I don't mind much of any information, but being excluded from information that should affect my decisions? Maybe being finessed out of decisions properly mine? Yowza. :(

I am so sorry.

This will be a good thing to find out more about. If there are fibroids I wouldn't expect an ultrasound to reveal anything much about the endometrium's configuration, but you should be able to get the original ultrasound report (and raw data if you want, but, hard to interpret without experience) if you ask your doctor or the imaging facility for it, like [personal profile] laurajv says.
