She is! I've read several of her smaller essays. I'm reading this tome slowly, not because it isn't interesting but because it keeps getting bumped by something I'm reading for book group. She strikes me as a very honest writer too: she clearly has a thesis, but she doesn't ignore the parts of her research that don't support it.
