crap!

I seem to have lost my phone. Normally this would only be inconvenient, but I am going to Canada in a few days and need to stay in touch with my son when we go in different directions, also communicate with the people I'll be seeing there. Do coffee shops generally have free wifi in Toronto and Montreal?

If you were my phone, where would you be?

ETA: Found! It was resting on a ledge between the headboard and the wall, which kept the phone securely hidden from sight. Since I was smart enough not to turn the ringer back on after leaving the library, it was also safe from discovery by sound!

Unfortunately, I can never even guess where my phone is and rely on emailing friends to ask them to call it so I can narrow the location down by ear. However, I can vouch that there's bound to be a wifi spot on nearly every corner in Toronto and Montreal. Among the more popular chains, Starbucks, Tim Hortons, and McDonalds will generally always have service.
